When visiting the Castelli Romani, you absolutely can't miss our local wines.

 

Our area produces a variety of D.O.C. (Denominazione ad Origine Controllata – Controlled Origin Denomination) selections, including: white, red, rose. amabile:  sweet wine, and Frizzante or sparkling wine. 

 

Some of our slections include: Merlot, Montepulciano, Nero Buono, Sangiovese, Malvasia, Candia and Trebbiano.

 

Our local soil, rich with potassium salts and phosphorous, given by our location between two lakes makes our area ideal for winemaking.

The Castelli's altitude, hillside location and breeze from the Tyrhenian sea makes for a slightly cooler, fresher climate that grape vines prefer.
