We created Eat Castelli Romani to combine a unique travel experience with food and wine. Our goal is to offer high quality food retreats and a welcoming enviornment.

Who we are
We are Luca and Karla and we want to give you a taste of our Italy.

Founder, experience coordinator and co-owner
I'm a Castelli Romani native, who grew up in the small town of Ariccia. I am a graduate of Anglo-American literature from Università degli Studi di Roma Tor Vergata. After traveling all over Europe and The USA, I decided to return home with the idea to bring people together with food. One of the best things about hosting food and wine retreats is enjoying meals together with great company. I truly believe that food speaks to each of us and has the power to unite.
Karla and I organize and host each of our week-long retreats, and day trips, upon request by our guests. We really enjoy what we do and put in great effort and energy to ensure the comfort and happiness of each one of our guests.

I grew up on a small farm in the great state of Georgia in the USA, always surrounded by fresh, seasonal foods and great company. I love welcoming guests with my southern hospitality and giving retreaters an insight to Italy as only an expat can. I came to Rome at the age of 18 and fell in love with the foods of Italy and most importantly my husband.
When planning our retreats I like to create experiences that my family and I would want to enjoy, with foods and authentic culinary experiences that please each of the senses.
One of Luca and I's favorite part of hosting retreats is making new friends from all over the world. We really love what we do and can't wait to host you.
